Here are areas that are also over 100 years old. These are built as two units, and have been fixed up, especially the one on the left. They are all two stories. They both have doors entering on the left and right. There is a big window in the middle on the first floor that enhances the style. The left building has many small extensions coming off the roof that add to the style of architecture.
This is a four unit type built in the early 1900’s, and is recently fixed up. It has the classic building type used throughout Oakland, with two units downstairs and two units upstairs. The key to making this stylish is to add the three feet set forward, put the tile roof on top, and add three beautiful windows divided into small pieces. A simple roof cornice adds a lot of style; with a dark colored trim, a variety of ups and downs, and small white pieces on the edge and in the middle.
