And the newest building built after 2010 is a five to six story building with modern balconies, occupying an entire street of buildings. The windows are long vertical windows, and indented balconies with floor to ceiling windows, so it has a whole new look. For now it looks good and is the most current unit.
Of course the lots along the south side of Lake Merritt were built in the 1960’s and renovated in 2010. Because they look onto the water it is an incredible view, the three to four stories do not seem to matter as much. And they are along the street, with a beautiful redone view of the sidewalks and new trees, so that is as important as the building you live in.
